In 2010, 65-year old Bill Ewasko vanishes during a solo hike in Joshua Tree. A decade later, obsessive sleuths are still determined to find him, using internet message boards and crowdsourced hikes. LABYRINTH traverses a hybrid digital/physical world, tasking the viewer with joining hundreds of other searchers on an impossible, infinite journey. With each move through the experience, the viewer picks up new crumbs of information, but no satisfying answer is ever reached.

Roaming among non-linear fragments of hope, we discover how easy it is to get lost in the mystery. How can we make sense of such a baffling case? How is it possible, in our time, to just disappear into thin air?
